Is connecting to my own TREE tick server possible?

I was curious to see what alternatives there were to connecting to data feeds etc. I realize that there are many already available, but I was wondering if the API(?) for sending data to NT might be available?

I was interested in trying to connect NT to a open source server named TREE: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=829804 to maintain my own historical database, and send data to NT as needed.

I would be willing to participate in Non-Disclosure if needed.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

    Hi Trader.Jon,

    Thank you for your post!

Unfortunately, this is not supported. I will, however, forward this to our development team for further consideration.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      Thanks for the response.

Even if not officially supported, I would like to obtain the API(?) to try to do this on my own!

      Thanks,
      Jon

          Kyle,

I do hope your development team has a positive response. I would be happy to respond to pm to explain any detail they may need.

Respectfully, there are certain limitations in NT that I am trying to overcome by the use of TREE.

I really like most everything else in NT: hopefully support for TREE can be made available.

          Thanks,
          Jon

            Trader.Jon,

Our market data and broker interfaces are not publicly exposed since we are not in a position to support it for external use. I don't see this changing in the forseeable future unfortunately.

              Trader.Jon,
              It's already done.

You only need to download the tick data to a text file and NTFeeder will send it to NT6.5

                paulchow2K,

                Thanks,

I will be contacting the author of the software to see if it also capable of supplying a live datafeed, or simulate one.

                Regards,
                T.J

it will, but again, the timestamps do not get sent to NT6.5.... which can be a major deal breaker

Perhaps it should be addressed by the end of June. NT 7 is rumored to be out around then...

Dont know. Time will tell. The list of what's coming out should be out soon.
