Instrument Manager in NT version 6, beta 9

    1) Are additional official "lists" going to be added like the S&P 500, Russell 2000 going to be added ?

    2) For the index list, can other indexes be added to the official lists (Advance/Decline for NYSE/ Nasdaq, TICK for Nasdaq, as an example)?

    3) Is there a timeframe to add in additional stocks? Also, noticed that the name on the ticker symbol "MMM" is incorrect.

    4) Are there plans to add in some additional search capabilities to create custom lists using relatively common criteria (such as optionable, beta, price, volume over last X days, etc.) Of course this would be a more valuable feature if all the stocks exist in the master list that is available

    5) And, finally if I decide to take on that endeavor on my own depending on the answers to items 1-3 will my changes be preserved between beta updates as well as to the final non-beta version ?

    Thanks

    Greg1,

    1. Possibly, I have development looking into this next week. No guarantees.

    2. Additional indexes are going to be added with the next release. This will only show up on new installs. I can help you override whats in your current database with the new indexes but any instruments you self added would be lost.

    3. See number 1 above.

    4. On list for future development.

    5. Yes they will provided your database does not corrupt. I advise backing up the database at regular intervals.

For #2, thank you for adding in additional indexes. Two requests:

      1) Can you also add in the Advance/Decline indexes? The one I added manually was the $ADD signal in ESignal (if that could become part of the official list that would be appreciated).

      2) In market analyzer, the only two default lists are the Dow 30 and the Nasdaq 100. Can additional default lists be added (like some of the other popular indexes)

      Thanks again

        1) To active indexes added with B1 you need to:
        - terminate NT
        - copy <install folder>/db/Instrument.txt to <my documents>/NinjaTrader6/db
        - restart NT
Instrument list then will be updated.

Please let us know which eSignal indexes you then would want to see added and we will take a look.

        2) Please see here to add S&P500 instruments: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...mentLists.html

I just went to the "Pre-Built Instrument Lists" web page, and when I click on the Download link, I get a 404 error.

The additional index from ESignal that I'm looking for is $ADD (NYSE Advance/Decline index). I'd suspect it's available in most other data providers although probably a different symbol...

We'll add it to out list of additional instruments. Thanks for your suggestion.
