    Esignal forex chart problem

Hello to all. I am a new subscriber to Esignal real-time data feed and my esignal connection shows that i am connected.

Then, when i try to open a new chart and put GBP A0-FX and 5min as timeframe, when the chart load, it only shows some bars here and there it is not as it should be.

Only like tick bas all over the place.

What is the correct way to setup spot forex chart using Esignal as the real time data feed?

    Thanks a lot in advance

      thanks but still have problem

Hello Christopher. Thanks a lot for your help.

It helped me find some currencies with symbol of Esignal like GBP A0-FX

Problem is when i open a chart for GBP A0-FX with a 5 min, the only thing i get when i load the chart is some bars like tick bar all over the place

So, the chart doesnt display a 5m chart at all and in fact it doesnt display anything coherent.

The thing i see on the chart is only some green and red candle but very big candle and all of them all the same high and low and some no candle at all.

      Thanks in advance

EDIT: please chart attached of 60m

        Hello Christopher.

Ok i think my problem is solved as eventhough Esignal use GBP A0-FX, for NT to display correctly that instrument chart, i need to use GBPUSD

Thanks a lot for your help anyway

        Have a great evening

            last question

Is there a way in NT to have the shadow of the candlestick more ticker than border of the candle itself like it is displayed on Esignal charts?

And also, why does the current candlestick bar doesnt shows it tick volume at the bottom when forming?

            Thanks a lot in advance

              Hello shreem,

Are you referring to making the candles tails thicker?

If so yes this can be done with the steps I have provided below.
              • Right mouse click within your chart
              • Properties
              • Click on the + next to Candle outline
              • Width-->Input your parameter
              • Click Ok

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Chart Properties.

If you need to increase or decrease your bar spacing please use Ctrl+Down arrow to increase and Ctrl+Up to decrease.

I have also included a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Navigating a Chart.

                Allmost that

Hello Christopher and thanks a lot for your reply.

Yep, it is almost that. I want the tail to be ticker than the candle itself but also ticker than the candle outline.

So, in fact, i need that only the tail or shadow of the candle is ticker

                Is that possible to do?

I am attaching a Esignal chart to show you what i means

                Thanks

                  Hi shreem,

Unfortunately it is not possible to only make the tail/shadow thicker at this time within NinjaTrader.

I will forward this to our development team for future considerations.

                    No Problem

                    Hello Christopher.

Thanks a lot for your answer. Ok, cool i understand. It would be nice if it can be done later on as it really make the candle a lot more easy to read and a lot more appealing esthetically when looking at the chart

Thanks a lot for your great help as it was much appreciated

problem with volume displayed on 1h chart

Hello Christopher. Just want to point out that i have a problem with the esignal volume being displayed on my 1 hour chart of GBPUSD. When i have a 1m, 5m or 15m chart, volume display correctly.
But on the 1 hour chart, it doesnt display correctly as lots of volume bar is the same as is the previous bar and for many many bars

What should i do to resolve that issue?

                      Thanks in advance

P.S. Also, cant see the current volume bar forming. Need to wait that the volume bar is completely formed before seeing it.

                      Shreem

                        Hello shreem,

Unfortunately this is as expected. Indicators are limited to a value around 2,147 million. See the attached screenshot.

However, NinjaTrader 7 will not have this limitation.

As per the current VOL bar, please set 'Calculate in bar close' to False in the Indicator menu.
