Market Replay Does not show any files.

    Hello everyone.

I am trying to use the Market Replay features with some files that I downloaded from: http://forum.bigmiketrading.com/free...jatrader/misc/

I have copied the files to folder:

    <Installation Folder>\db\data folder

But when I try to go to File->Connect->Market Replay Connection.

Nothing is shown, what could I be doing wrong? My OS is Windows 7.

    Hello davewolfs,

    Thank you for your post.

1.) Market replay files are stored in the My Documents > NinjaTrader 6.5 > DB > Data folder.

2.) Unfortunately, the Windows 7 beta / release candidate is not a supported operating system. This could have something to do with the issue you are facing.

Are you able to replicate this on another PC using Windows XP or Vista?

Doesn't seem to work on XP either. I have two files that I have copied to the directory you specified above, ES 09-09.ntm and ES 09-09.nt2. Is there anything else that needs to be done?

        Hi davewolfs,

        Thank you for your reply.

Did you add the files to a folder titled with the date using the YYYYMMDD format?

No I did not, do I need to do that? What should the directory structure be like? This question applies to Directories and file names with the .\data folder.

Ok, I have it loaded, I guess it needs a properly date formatted folder to hold the data files.

Now when I press play, it continually shows paused. Any reason why? Also, if I right click I do not see anything under available instruments.

              Hi davewolfs,

              Thank you for your reply.

Yes, the files should be added using the same format as other Market Replay dates.

                Hi davewolfs,

                Thank you for your reply.

Can you elaborate on the paused bit?
The replay data will not play? Have you tried right clicking and selecting Available Instruments to make sure there is data in the file?

I think the file might have been corrupt. Another file is working.

Now that I have this up and running, I have added the instrument with the instrument manager but when I open the DOM screen, the prices are not moving its as if the screen is not refreshing. Same applies to charts, do I need to do any additional configuration?

Are you using the appropriate expiry date?
Do you seen data in any other window in NinjaTrader?

Weird, I switched data files and it is not working! Looks like I am good to go for now! Thanks for the help.
