You need to read the thread that was posted below, but in summary:
- Get the NT7 beta 2 by emailing a certain person at NinjaTrader with subject as mentioned in the other thread (See this post)
- Then config some stuff in NT7 Beta 2 (See this post)
My understanding is that this solution is only recommended for manual trading, not auto trading, and because its beta there are no guarantees etc. But, hey, gotta be better than using TWS.

Hmm, strange: no prompt responses as usual.

I'm out of commission today. Can't login TWS 892.7 any longer. Can't trade CL until NinjaTrader has this issue fixed. Help, guys!

I'm having simliar problems as the OP, the only solution (if it maybe so called) for me is to go back to TWS 892.7. With this version of TSW, I got my CL orders displayed correctly on a ChartTrader and trade execution displayed on the CL charts. The PnLs (realized and unrealized) display on the Strategies tab of the Control Center, but NOT THE POSITION. No matter how many position you open, you only got a - (dash).

I can get by with this strange behavior, but now IB says they will no longer support my TWS 892.7 after tomorrow 11/04/2009. I already try many newer TWS; all are having problem with CL. As I said only 892.7 partially works.

Question for NinjaTrader: What am I or traders like me; e.g., the OP; to do comes Nov 4? When are you guys having a fix for this way overdue problem. Is there a special build to deal with this issue? Is the problem being fixed with NT7?

I'm having the problem on only with CL, trading realtime accounts (both paper and real), with 6.5.001.09, .10, .11, .12, .14. Other than this, NT is pretty cool.

oil position month error

Hi,

I have this problem also, and am wondering what progress has been made?

It is very easy to reproduce.
1. Start TWS 898.4 in simulated trading mode.
2. Get long CLZ9 in TWS
3. Start NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.14 and connect to TWS

NinjaTrader position tab shows Long 1 CL 11-09.(wrong month)

It appears TWS is reporting the wrong month for the position, but I am just wondering if you have confirmed that it is a TWS problem.

Sorry, it was not very clear what is happening.

1) This is happening in live trading.
2) The unrealized PnL never shows in the strategies tab nor in the positions tab, but this has always been like that.
3) What happens lately is that the strategy enters long, as it is supposed to, but it is not reflected in the chart or in the strategy tab, and when it is supposed to ExitLong, it doesn´t because it thinks it is flat. I reinsert the strategy in the chart and then It shows both entry and exit point correcty but I have to manually close the position.
4) I have been having this problem for a few days now. If we see today´s log:

At 18:30 t should have exited the Long position from 8:30:32 but it didn´t and there is some mess with QM 12-09 (the one I trade) and QM 11-09.

Any ideas?

jriverac, do you see any errors in the logs (right-most tab of Control Center)? Could you please explain "the strategy does not send the orders properly" a bit more? Are the orders sent

If you can give us a little more information to work with we'll be able to assist you better.

A sample of your code where the orders are submitted could help us/forum members as well.
