    ATR as ATM Strategy

Just curious, is it possible to code an ATR trailing strategy that is activated through when orders are places through SuperDom? I have an ATR trailing indicator, but is it possible to interact with this part of NT's API? If so, where would be the best place to start looking?

    Thanks!

    Dave,

Unfortunately NinjaScript strategies cannot be activated by a manually placed trade on the SuperDOM.

Perhaps something to consider for future enhancement.

Is something like this (using an indicator like ATR Stop or just an EMA as a trailstop in regular ATMs) maybe possible in NT 7 ?

max-td, unfortunately not directly from the ChartTrader / SuperDOM ATM strategy settings. What you could do is calling your ATM strategy templates for exit management from the NinjaScript strategy and move stops and targets according to your indicator values.

For a sample, please check into the 'SampleAtmStrategy' provided per default with NinjaTrader.

i was hoping to have this as an additional option in the ATMs for manual entries - i remember this feature was wished + discused several times.
              its a great pity!

i think with your tip it is not possible to call an exit-strategy managed by a ninjascript if using a manuel (DOM / charttrader-) entry ?
or, i am wrong here ?

No, you're correct max-td, my idea applies to calling ATMs from automated NinjaScript strategies for exit management.
