    After reviewing your trace file again I notice you are currently running a 64 bit operating system.

    Our current release of NinjaTrader supports a 32-bit OS.

    NinjaTrader Installation Guide

    Do you have another PC running 32 bit that you can install NinjaTrader on until NinjaTrader 7 is available to the general public?

    NinjaTrader 7 will officially support 64 bit Operating Systems. I have provided a link below to the public announcement of NinjaTrader 7 which includes a section that goes over new features, improvements and release information.

      I've been running NT6.5 on an x64 OS for a year now. So 365 days without this problem, and now all of a sudden that's the issue?

      Can you please look into what really solved the problem for tnttrader.

        Hi,

        This is Vince manager in support.

        We've never supported V6.5 on a 64-bit OS. We have this listed in the Installation Guide as well. See here:

        We understand that there are a lot of people using V6.5 on a 64 bit machine without any issues, however when they run into any we don't provide support and they would be on their own. Our upcoming V7 which we currently have in Beta will support the 64 bit OS.

            Unfortunately I could not find a record of an email to support regarding the issue on 08/17/2009 in reference to this thread so they may have never sent the information.

              I was pretty sure you said were sure you resolved it for that user.

              I any case, I found the problem and solved it myself and I can connect now.

                when I was having problems a while back linking IB to Ninjatrader, I had opened each program seperately. By using the pulldown menu on Ninja ....File...Connect....IB and signing on to IB this way, it eliminated the problem........hope this helps...
