New Strategy

When I open a new EURUSD 30 min chart and apply a Strategy, I get this message:

“Strategy ‘skLinRegX1c’ submitted an order that generated the following error: ‘Order Rejected’. Strategy has sent cancel requests, attempted to close the position and terminated itself.”

“There is no market data available to drive the simulation engine. Affected Order: Buy 100000 Market.”

How do I correct this?

You need to actually have data to run your strategy. Check your Control Center logs for errors.

Add TraceOrders = true to see what caused your order to be rejected.

Where do I "Add Trace Orders = true" as you suggested?

Strategy running / No current data?

My chart shows strategy orders but the chart is not updating bars live. I believe I did everything necessary to have data. Where should I look?

You would put the line of code In Initialize().

Still can't get chart to update.

Please help me get my strategy chart to update. It stopped updating this morning at 1130 am.

I have checked the connection; it shows Sim101 connected.

I have added "TraceOrders = true" to the Initialize method region but the Output window shows nothing pertinent to data connection.

If your chart is not updating it means you don't have any streaming data or your chart is outside of the set session.

Remove all your strategies and indicators and just run a new chart. Check session begin/end times in Chart Properties to ensure it is working and also ensure you have set up a sim start price for the instrument in question.
