Historical data- unable to import

I downloaded all available historical data from disktrading.com of the 6E Euro/USD. THe file I downloaded specifically was designed for NT "6EU9-NinjaTrader-tick.TXT"
When I try to import it it says I cant and that a log has been made of the error and it has to do with a wrong name.
Can anyone help me on this one. I followed a previous link to the support page to ensure the file was set out properly- but this is another issue.
Do I just change the name of it to "6E 09-09" what I have at the moment?

And incidentally- once I have the data loaded will I have to access it through a simulator account or will it just appear in my live account?

I just tried changing the name to the exact one in the instrument list- "6E 09-09" and it worked.
Is that ok?
What happens when I change over to the next contract?

Hello raycam,

Yes, the file name needs to be the same as the instrument name in NinjaTrader. Please see the instructions at the link below to import historical data.

The imported data will appear upon creating a chart. It does not matter whether you are in simulation or live mode.

If you rollover to the next contract, you can merge the current contract into the next contract as per the followig instructions.
