2 Datafeeds doesn't work together?

I got an eSignal datafeed and an IB datafeed. I use eSignal as the primary and IB as the secondary connection in NT. However I subscibe to different exchanges using the different datafeed.

For example, I got CBOT access with IB but not with eSignal. Using IB as the primary connection, I can access CBOT data, but using IB as secondary connection and eSignal as my primary connection, I can't access CBOT data.

Doesn't NT go to the secondary connection for data if the primary connection doesn't have it?

Upon using multiple connections, NinjaTrader will retrieve all data from the first connection. Only when the first connection does not support an instrument type (futures, equities, forex, indices), NinjaTrader will retrieve data from the second connection.

Both data feeds support all four instrument types.

In the example I listed below, both eSignal and IB support the 4 instrument type. The problem is whether you are subscribed to the certain exchange through them. So the problem I am facing is not a matter of instrument type.

Unfortunately, NinjaTrader does not work that way; it will retrieve all data from the first connection. Even though IB supports that particular data, NinjaTrader will retrieve the data from eSignal (connected 1st), however it is not available with eSignal.

So meaning it doesn't go to IB for the data if it is not available in eSignal even though IB will be able to provide that data.

But wouldnt I then face the same problem with eSignal coz there are some access that I have with eSignal that I don't have with IB.
