values for tick, trin, bkx, advance/decline-line, nasdaq-index

    Hi,
I am using the ameritrade and zenfire feed. I understand that zenfire provide futures only. However, was hoping that since i am connected to both the feeds, i would be able to plot the following. I can see these on Ameritrade website as the following,
    - $tick.x
    - $trin.x
    - $bkx
    - Nyse Advances is ADVN, NYSE Declines is DECN, i'd like to plot the difference of these two on a chart
    - Nasdaq index

    Thanks!

    Hello Satbir,

Please add the mentioned indices to your default instrument list in the Instrument Manager. Instructions can be found at the link below.

Ensure you are connected to TD AMERITRADE and check if you receive data for these indices.

The BKX index is not listed by default.

The NDX and ADD do not have a symbol map listed for TD AMERITRADE by default.

Highligh the NDX and ADD in the 'Available master instruments' section and click Edit. Select the Misc-tab and enter the correct symbol mapping next to TD AMERITRADE.

NinjaTrader comes pre-loaded with the most commonly traded instruments however, you may find the need to add an additional instrument. Please follow the instructions below to add an instrument in the Instrument Manager.
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
    • Press the "New" button
    • *Enter in instrument specific information and select the appropriate exchange (add Default exchange for equities in addition to the actual exchange)
    • Fill in any relevant information under the "Misc" tab such as symbol mapping for your target connectivty provider
    • Press the "OK" button
    * If you wish to add an equity, this can be accomplished without following the steps above. Just open a chart (for example) and start typing in the symbol and a new instrument is automatically created.
The instrument is now added to the master instrument list. Please follow the instructions below if you want to add this instrument to an instrument list.
    • Select the instrument list you wish to add the instrument to via the "Instrument lists" drop down list in the upper left hand corner
    • Select the exchange (Default recommend for equities) as this will route orders to your broker smart routing system
    • Select the appropriate expiration date if this is a futures instrument
    • Press the "<" button to add the instrument to the list
You are now complete and can press the "OK" button.

        Hello Satbir,

Unfortunately I do not know if they support this index. I suggest to contact TD AMERITRADE and check if you have access to data for the BKX index and what symbol mapping needs to be used.

          DOW index symbol

          Hi

I am a new user. I am using TDAmeritrade, how do I add DOW index symbol? I don't even know the symbol itself. In TD it is $INDU.

          Thanks!

            Hello Qun,

            Welcome to the Support forum.

The instrument is listed as DJIA in the Instrument Manager.

I suggest to go to Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the DJIA in the 'Available master instruments' section and click the arrow pointing to the left.
