    Candlestick Pattern Indicator

    When I try to use this indicator, it puts a line across the bottom of the chart at 0.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello Mahlon,

    Can you please remove all indicators applied on the chart and re-apply only the Candle Stick Pattern indicator and check if the issue persists. I tested the same indicator on my end on an ES 09-09 150 tick chart, but I do not experience the expanded Y-axis to a value of zero.

    If the issue persists, please provide me the settings as per the Candle Stick Pattern - ThreeBlackCrows indicator.

      Jason,

      Thank you for your suggestion. There is no difference.

      The first chart has the pattern found line set to transparent(default). The second chart has it set to black.

        Please set the line to transparent for the second chart as well and check if the issue persists.

          If I set the line to transparent it's the same as the other chart. So how do I know when it finds a pattern? What is the proper setup and use of this indicator? All I could find in NT help was for strategies.

            You will see text in the chart when a chart pattern is found, see screenshot.

            The color needs to be set to transparent or else you will experience the behavior you reported.

                    Ok, I found it.

                    There is a small issue, i dont think the doji is working properly

                          Thank you for your post.


                          The Candlestick Pattern is one of the default indicators that comes with NinjaTrader 8. Please right-click on a chart and go to indicators. Next, locate and add Candlestick Pattern (the list should be in alphabetical order). I have created a video example here where I add this indicator to a chart:

                              You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support
