Other Historical Data Import Problem

Iīm trying to load some off-line data like this:

20040218 090000;40510;40510;40486;40501;6
20040218 091500;40532;40642;40486;40642;14
20040218 093000;40669;40783;40642;40783;15
20040218 094500;40783;40783;40698;40698;8

Iīve created an instrument called INDV (data fileīs name and master instrument). Type = futures, tick size and point value = 1, Exchange = default and symbol map = external = INDV. Then I published in default list.

The import process is OK (no log erros). But when I tried to create a new chart, nothing appears. The chart window is white and grid goes from 0 to 1.

I didnīt do any connections. Am I doing all wrong?

The data you posted looks like minute data and it looks OK from what I can see. It looks pretty old. Are you using the correct contract data that would show this data? Just an idea. In case you don't already have this link:

Thanks for your reply. I already have the manual, but I canīt figure out where is the error.

Itīs a 15 min data from future Brazilian index (full contracts). My broker provides me desktop software to trade and I can get the data from there. I'm wondering if this is a kind of data that I can work in NT. I donīt know if any data provider can give me this signal. Probably not.

If you donīt mind, I would like to make a question: How can I know that the data that Iīm importing goes to that instrument Iīve created? As I said, the importing process is OK.

Look that Iīve created an instrument to that specific data. I even fill a symbol map with the same name of the file and the instrument.

If Iīm going to need a data provider, Could I try to listen a DDE signal from my desktop trading program?

Oh, sorry. I see the issue. You can't use 15 min. data. It has to be 1 min, tick, or daily. Check the link again and you will see that the time internvals are one minute each and yours are 15 minutes each.

I know this is an old thread but I am having a similar issue. I have tried to import the simplest (5 lines of data) of csv files - i get no errors, the data is in the right format, I have created an instrument in the list, the graph knows the title of the instrument but... no data

Welcome to our forums - can you perhaps post a snippet of the file you try and what instrument settings you tried exactly using?
