    Hi,

            Did this issue get resolved?
            I have just changed from a sim account to a live account through GAIN and have the same problem. Works fine when the account is set to Demo, program hangs when I use live. I changed my NT license key to a GAIN supported one and my Forex.com account is a NT one.

              i dont use this platform anymore its nice to too unstable with gain also if your pc suddenly loses internet connection you need to reset up the whole thing, trader straight thru the broker in my opinion seems to be more stable. also the program only runs if ur computer is if you turn it off the strategies dont apply or so i was told, these are just my personal feelings by all means give it a shot.

                Hi,

                Sim/Live, is the same connection technology. We would need to understand further what experience you have specifically. Is it only when you place an order? Is it random? The GAIN API uses an HTTP protocol which is as stable as surfing the web. Please send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com and we can follow up further. Please reference this thread.

                  I am having this problem also. I was connected to my Gain account earlier. The appication Froze due to my indicator being very exhausive, however when I restart the computer and try to connect, NT hangs while trying to connect to my live gain account. Has there been a fix for this?
                  I am running my Ninja on Microsoft Virtual PC, 1gb of ram allocated to the Virtual PC.

                    Let's try to isolate:
                    - you are on latest 6.0.1000.5, no?
                    - plesae check your account connection setup: have you enabled "Use GAIN servers"? If so, please try "Use NinjaTrader" servers. Does this make a difference?
                    - does closing all charts, market analyzer forms etc. and only leave control center up make a difference?

                      I am on the latest release 6.0.1000.5.

                      I alread use Ninja Trader servers.
                      I tried closing every thing except the main control center didn't help.

                      The only thing that made a difference was help i found from a post on this site where the gentleman said Compacting and repairing was a way to fix it. I repaired and reset the database, and that resolved it. I think next time it happens, if you really want to know what goes wrong, you can extract my database from my computer, and see what gets corrupted in your database, that stop gain from connecting, and freezes the application.

                          It is, but according to the gentleman post, it will return sooner or later. When it does, I will remember what I was doing, document it, and email the database to Ninja trader to see if you can determine was gets corrupted, and fix it in a subsequent release.
