Forex starting time and NT daily chart

Is there anyway that you can setup NT to automatically recognize that after 5pm EST it's considered a new day in Forex?

If I keep my Forex daily chart open beyond 5pm, NT will add all new data to last day's bar instead of creating a new bar. Sometimes it could be very misleading.

btw, I have IB live feed.

Hello Grand,

Unfortunately such an option is not supported.

When I check a daily EURUSD chart on my end, daily bars are reflected as expected. The close of yesterday's bar is 1.4795, which occurs at 3 PM (Mountian Time) on my EURUSD minute chart.

Are you able to reproduce this? What happens if you reload historical data in the chart (right click chart and select 'Reload Historical Data')?

Yes. It happens to me every day. It happens under two circumstances,

1, if I have my daily chart open before 5pm,
2, if I open a new daily chart between 5pm to midnight and forget to change "last date" to tomorrow's date.

Reloading historical data between 5pm to midnight will add all data to today's bar instead of creating a new bar.

Daily chart will be ok after midnight.
All intraday charts are fine.

I see, unfortunately this as expected, since NinjaTrader timestamps the bar at the close.

The current daily bar closes at midnight, so real-time data received before that will be included in today's price bar.

I suggest to right click in the chart and select 'Format Data Series' and set 'Last date' to tomorrow's date, just after 5 PM and check if a new bar will be created.

That certainly will. The only problem is you have to do it at exactly 5pm. otherwise any new data added to previous bar will stay there. (Reloading historical data won't work because it will simply remove the newly created bar)

Overall it's a minor problem. I'd appreciate it if you guys can fix this in the future versions.
