Float appearing on chart when using Interactive Brokers Account

    Hi,

My float is held in AUD with interactive brokers. If is use chart trader, my float appears as a long postion in any trade that has AUD in the currency pair.

How do I get rid of the float but still see my other trades in chart trader.

    Cheers

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you please provide me with a screenshot of what you mean by this. To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

        Hello ydem1,

Unfortunately this is as expected. Please see the IB connection guide at the link below.

        * The FOREX positions reported in NinjaTrader are based on the positions reported in TWS FX Trader and the FX Portfolio section of the TWS Account window. This is NOT the cash value reported in the Market Value section of the TWS Account window.

Unfortunately it is not possible to have this disabled.

The float you see is due to the TWS FX Portfolio. To remove the float go to TWS open Account, go to FX Portfolio, right click on the position and Adjust the value to zero. This removes the float from NinjaTrader.

Probably worth adding into NT help guide for Interactive Brokers.

          Cheers
