How to actually upgrade Ninja?

Hi,

I have NinjaTrader version 6.5.1000.12 running OK.

Recently a message about available urgarde
to version 6.51000.14 appeared.

How to actually produce this upgrade:

1) Un-install previous version and install new one?
How to keep all settings and indicators then?

or

2) Install new version in a different folder, than copy
all settings and indicators (as TradeStation does)?

or

3) Install new version on top of existing one,
assuming that system will take care of everything?

or

4) something else ?

I've done a search and cannot find an answer to my
question, doesn't matter how dummy it may seem.

#3, you can install the latest version on top of your current version. You will save all settings and data.

This does work, with only one minor thing (and this is another problem),
that newer Ninja started to complain, that my "indicators are not in compilable state". Because I have only dll for these indicators, I have
to remove dll completely from bin/custom/ folder.

Please follow the instructions below to see where the errors are coming from after compiling any indicator or strategy. This will allow you to debug the indicator/strategy or remove it from your PC. If you’re wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator or strategy, it is because NinjaTrader compiles all indicators and strategies. Not just one.

1) Open NinjaTrader
2) From the Control Center -> Tools -> Edit NinjaScript -> Indicator
3) Select an indicator and double click on it.
4) A new window will appear and you will need to right click and compile the indicator.
5) At the bottom of the window a new section will appear were you can find the error locations. Double click the error and you will be directed to the location of the error.
6) From there you have the option to remove the indicator or debug it. You can delete NinjaScript files via Tools-->Edit NinjaScript-->Indicator/Strategy, highlight it and select Delete
