Problem for orders from NT to IB

    Hello,
I try to connect my NT to IB tradestation.
    Everything seems OK:
    * green connected-IB on my NT control center
    * as NT connects to IB, message on my IB tradestation that another program tries to link (I accept)
    * orders directly done on IB tradestation are captured on Executions window by NT
    * IB account value also captured by NT
    BUT
orders generated in NT never executes on IB.
    What is the problem?
    Thanks
I must mention that the only thing I was not able to do comparing to the demo was to select "Fire open orders on status change" as this option did not appear in the rolling menu for API.

    Hello Gepetto,

Can you please check if your IB account is selected in the NinjaTrader order entry window when you submit the orders.

If you cannot select your live IB account, please go to Control Center-->File and uncheck 'Global Simulation Mode' and you should be able to select your account.

Quite surprisingly, NT doesn't connect anymore to IB.
I obtain the following messages in the log file:

      11/20/2009 7:22:27 PM Connection IB: Primary connection=Connecting, Price feed=Connecting
11/20/2009 7:22:27 PM Default IB.Adapter.MessageLoop: Unable to convert msg 'ATI' to an integer id
11/20/2009 7:22:27 PM Default IB.Adapter.MessageLoop: Unable to convert msg 'True' to an integer id

Any idea on how to solve this?

        • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
        • Then go to the Tools menu--> select Options--> select the Misc tab--> click Repair DB
        • Restart NinjaTrader
        • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.

            Thank you for your reply.

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? (Help > About)
What version of Interactive Brokers' TWS are you running? (Help > About Trader Workstation)

                Hi Gepetto,

                Thank you for your reply.

Please install version 6.5.1000.14 of NinjaTrader via the following link: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...t6.5/setup.exe

Next, uninstall the version of TWS you are using and install version 898.4 via this link: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...nstall_898.exe

After taking these steps, you should be able to connect.

                    Maybe it will help

When I try to open NT AFTER IB, I have the following error message:
Unable to start ATI server component. Access tentative to a socket by a forbidden manner conforming to access rights has been tempted (approximative message since translation from french) It may help maybe?

                      Hi Gepetto,

                      Thank you for your reply.

Is this message coming from TWS?
Can you provide a screen shot?
