    Scaling Out NT6

In NT5 after a trade has been placed using a custom strategy within
the Super DOM positions can be closed in lots of 1 simply by clicking
"Market" on the DOM. Furthermore NT will reduce the position sizes for
    the remaining stops in place.

In NT6 any attempt to close a position using "Market" on the DOM
results in the message "You can't submit an exit order to a strategy
until any of its orders has been filled". If the "ATM Strategy" is set
to "None", this does allow positions to be closed by "Market" but NT
does not reduce the position sizes for the remaining stops in place.

This effectively requires a manual change against the stops.

Is there a way to have NT6 work the same as NT5 ???

    Hello:

    Thank you for your post.

From within NT 6 SuperDOM window, right click and go to Properties > Scale Quantity > Set this to a value of 1. Choose 'Apply' and 'Set as Default'.

Then, NT 6 should function as expected.

Let me know if this works.

        Hi:

Thank you for your follow up.

Please verify for me your Strategy Selection Mode.

Right click within the SuperDOM and go to Properties > Strategy Selection Mode.

More than likely this is set to 'SelectActiveStrategyonOrderSubmission'.

What happens if you choose 'KeepSelectectedStrategyonOrderSubmission'?

Please change and run your setup again. Does it produce the same results.

If you are still having problems please let us know.

        Regards,

          Hi Ryan

1 Yes, by changing to 'KeepSelectectedStrategyonOrderSubmission' NT will now allow scaling out without the error message BUT

2 In "Order qty" field the total number of contracts is set to the number of contracts with which the position was opened as opposed to 1 set in "Scale quantity" within the properties AND

3 NT does not reduce the position sizes for the remaining stops in place

            Hi:
Thank you for the follow up.
A colleague suggested performing the following test to verify if whether or not the software is functioning as expected.
            1. Connect to your datafeed.
            2. Change Strategy selection mode back to 'SelectActiveStrategyonOrderSubmission'.
            3. Submit a limit order on the buy column with Strategy attached.
            4. Then, attempt to hit the Quick Sell Market button. You will receive the error message "You can't submit an exit..."
            5. Ensure that your entry limit order is filled with your profit target and stop loss values being displayed.
            6. Now try using the Quick Sell Market button to scale out of the position.
            This should work as expected.

              Hi Ryan

Right now it is working correctly even if I choose to buy at Market on the DOM. Strange ???
