Bug : GAP

Good evening,

I am using MB Trading Data Feed and when I launch NT I have a big gap on my chart.

How can I fix this ?

Hi Steven,

Thank you for your post.

The gap you are seeing may be caused for two reasons...

1. The Session Begins and End Times do not included this time. You can change the times by right clicking within the chart and selecting Properties. You can change both fields to 12:00 AM if you want to include all times.

2. MB Trading does not provide historical data, so you may not have recorded data for that period. You can enable NinjaTrader to store real time data for later use, by clicking :Help: Options: Data tab: Store real-time bar data". Keep in mind the data will only record when you have a window open, with the instrument that you want to record selected.

You're right, the gap from MB Trading.

I have contacted MB Trading and they told me that they already provide historical data but it cannot be used with NT.

This problem will be fixed with NT 7?

Yes, Historical Data from MB Trading will be available with NinjaTrader 7.

Hi Steven,

I've contacted MB Trading and they've informed me that they do offer historical daily data, therefore, with NinjaTrader 7, you should be able to receive that data.

Hi again,

I have used the simulated feed and now if I use MBT live I have a huge bar.
Can I clear my data base or do some thing to remove this set of "wrong" data?

Hi Steven,

Unfortuntely, because NinjaTrader doesn't currently support MBT Historical data, there is no way to reload this data. Again, both Historical data and tick modification will be available with NinjaTrader 7.

If you feel this will be an ongoing issue, you can enable Real-time tick filtering.

Also, one option is to delete past data, however keep in mind that this will delete data that cannnot be recovered later.
