    license servers seem to be down

    Whenever I try to start Ninjatrader this morning, it is unable to verify the license, and suggests that the license servers may be down. I have no problem with Internet connectivity, so I think your license servers are in fact down.

    Consequently I am unable to trade this morning!

    See attached screenshot, showing the error message, the time, and working Internet connectivity.

    splat, they're up and running well - assuming you already tried the suggestions in our error message - do you have perhaps another ISP connection to try this on to rule out any local backbone issues reaching our servers?

      license server FQDN or IP address ?

      Thanks for the info, Bertrand. Glad to see someone is on duty at this time of day.

      My ISP is not showing any outages or problems on their status page.
      I do not have another ISP here, but I do have another location I could ping your servers from.

      Can you give me the FQDNs (or IP the addresses) of the license servers, so I can try to ping them ? Also I can run a packet sniffer, and see what is happening to the packets.

          problem fixed by restarting computer

          Eventually I restarted the computer, and after that NinjaTrader had no problem verifying its license. Maybe it was one of those MS-Windows problems, where it just needs a restart. This is just one more reason I would prefer a Linux port of NinjaTrader...

          So there was no problem with the license servers, or the network, probably just with my MS-Windows (XP Pro).
