Can I link an external application, MultiCharts to NinjaTrader.

I have just migrated to a TradeStation compatible platform, MultiCharts, to develop mechanical trading systems. I would like to use NinjaTrader to connect to a FOREX broker such as MBTrading, or a Zen-Fire supported FOREX broker.

Is this possible? I see there is a way to connect TradeStation, and MultiCharts is touted as TradeStation compatible so I thought I would ask for support in this area.
    Regards,

    Linking Multicharts to Ninja

This can certaintly be done. Especially sending orders from MC to Ninja.
Suggest you look at the Ninja manual under Automated trading interface, Tradestation Intergration, DLL based intergration, there is a sample code which you can use to send orders to Ninja from Multicharts.

      Thanks MicroAl,
I will give it a try and see if I can get it set up.
It would be nice if I could use it with MBTrading FOREX and use the data as well. Will call them to see what support they offer.
      Regards,
      Tom

Tom, although we do not directly support connections to MultiCharts, you can give the TS connection guide a try -

For automating your trades, please review AT interface info -

          Multicharts and Ninja

          Tom

I found I had one problem testing in simulation as Ninja obviously requires a data feed for the simulation to work and Multicharts one as well. To fix this I used the Ninja supplied TS external data program to drive data to Ninja. I found though I had to put dummy figures in for the BidSize, OfferSize (It may be GetBidSize, anyway there is no equivalent in Multicharts PowerLanguage however). What was interesting however was to get a Time and Sales Window in Ninja driven by Multicharts, whereby as you know in Multicharts there is no time and sales window supplied)
