    Gain feed problem?

    Just lost connection on Gain feed. Tried to reconnect and got a message that login 'failed to connect to the rates interface systems net sockets socket exception An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host at system net sockets Socket receive (byte)[] buffer. int3'
    Tried connecting via another computer and same message.

    A nyone else having the same problem or ideas on fixing?

    I too am having the same issue. I do not know how to fix it.

      Same issue here. It must be a server side issue with the Gain feed.

        Hi,

        Had a few reports as well.

        Have you tried rebooting your machine? That did the trick for others.

                Please check which version of NinjaTrader you are running by clicking Help > About.

                If you are not running the most current version of NinjaTrader, 6.5.1000.14, please upgrade via the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/download_download.htm

                  Kyle & Vincent,

                  Upgrading fixed the problem for me. I was using 6.5.1000.11 but after upgrading to 6.5.1000.14 the problem went away.

                    I did that, still nothing expecpt it looks like I lost all my preset charts now.

                      1.) Connection Issue:
                      Please take the following steps:
                      • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
                      • Then go to the Tools menu--> select Options--> select the Misc tab--> click Repair DB
                      • Restart NinjaTrader
                      • Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.





                      2.) Chart settings:
                      Were these settings saved within your workspaces or your templates?
                      Do you have a backup?

                          Problem now disappeared on both systems and am connected to Gain as normal. I was already running latest version. Problem seems to have been at the Gain server end (as someone suggested earlier)
                          Anyway, thanks everyone for ideas and help.

                            Can you designate Gain-Demo as a Backup to IQFEed
                            (I'm on NT7 and IQF: 4.7.0.5)

                              trend, yes I believe that should work - would of course only 'back' FX spot instruments then.
