Orders executing even though price didn't touch or pass thru limit

I'm assuming the bid / ask is being processed. But if all I want is the current price to be used to initiate an order, as it relates to limit orders, what do I do?

If I want my long entry limit orders to only trigger off of current price or bid price data, and want my short entry limits to only trigger off of current and ask data, what do I need to do?

I also can't find anything for conditional order types in Ninjatrader

    Hello Kablooie,

    Thank you for your post.

Are you referring to submitting a Stop Limit Order. If so to submit a Stop Limit Order this will be done using the Middle Mouse Button (scroll wheel) and for a Stop Market Order you will want to use Ctrl+Middle Mouse Button.

I have included a link below that goes over submitting orders within the SuperDOM.

That didn't help, what I'm looking for may be commonly referred to as a "market if touched" order, meaning that when the currently displayed price on the chart (not the bid or ask which I'm not using on my charts) touches (or passes through) the trigger price in the order, a market order is sent. as of now its the bid/ask thats triggering limits and order trigger prices, which makes no sense to me.

Unfortunately MIT orders are not offered within NinjaTrader. What you may do is submit a Stop Market Order using Chart Trader therefore when an execution occurs at the specific price your order will be triggered and will executed at Market.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Submitting Orders in Chart Trader.

          What does MIT stand for?

I was referring to Market If Touched.
