    Esignal Dow Jones Indices

I'm trying to build a monitor list using Dow Jones Country Indices daily data. When I try to create the symbol list I am required to enter an exchange code. In Esignal the exchange code for the symbols is DJI. Obviously that stands for Dow Jones Indices. So what exchange code can/should I use in NT to create the list?

Here's a couple of the symbols for reference:

    $AUDOWD$BRDOWD$CADOWD

That's Australia, Brazil, and Canada, all US dollar based.

    Hello thcurlin,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader support forum!

Unfortunately, I'm not sure exactly which exchanges these would use. However, if you contact eSignal, they should be able to provide you with that information.

      Hello thcurlin,

We have just done some testing on our end and it seems that these symbols will function with the exchange set to 'Default'.

When I try to import the symbols I don't see Default in the drop down list of exchange codes. Do I have to create or enable it somewhere else for it to show up as an exchange code option in the Import Symbol List dialog box?

          Hi thcurlin,

          Thank you for your reply.

The exchange 'Default' would need to be enabled in the Instrument Editor before it would be available in the dropdown menu in the Instrument Manager.

          Please take the following steps:
From the Control Center, click Tools > Instrument Manager.
In the instrument manager, select the symbol you want to change and click Edit.
In the Definition tab of the Instrument Editor, you will be able to define an exchange.
Make sure that only Default is checked, then click OK.
Next, close and the re-open the Instrument Manager, then select the instrument and click the '<' button to add it to your default instrument list.
