Problems Loading Yahoo EOD?

Im having problems loading Yahoo EOD - ESignal INtraDay/ EOD is fine

Any suggestions you may have that I could have a look at?

You are aware they only provide this for Equities, correct?

Also, what do you have set as last date? What happens if you select the previous day?

Hi mefTrader,

For the Yahoo feed the chart will be a Daily chart, and will only show historical data, but it will not matter if you have the present date as the last date. As long those settings are correct then there should not be any issues with the Yahoo feed.

Can you please clarify if these equities are on a foreign exchange as charting those does require additional setup, or what specific symbols you are having trouble viewing, as well as the settings for the chart.

Yes i see that too with many symbols and it totally sucks. I end up shutting down NT with the "loading data" screen still on, sometimes the data is there when I restart sometime not.

Is it the "exchange settings" what if you check every single exchange? Or the "refresh" settings?

Why isn't BATS listed as an exchange? They provide free data to freestockcharts.com?

Also why does the yahoo EOD data populate in the MARKET ANALYZER?

Why is there such latency between NT 6.5 and Yahoo EOD for loading a basket (30) of stocks in a market analyzer?

Hi mainstream,

When adding equities within NinjaTrader you will want to set the Exchange to Default.

Unfortunately there is not a refresh setting within NinjaTrader at this time however I will forward this to our development team for future considerations.

Can you please tell me if the price is updating at the same time within the Orders tab, your Daily chart and Market Analyzer window?

The same API will be used within NinjaTrader 7 for the Yahoo connection.

Current Ask, Bid Price seems to come through straight away but the latency is with loading historical data?

Hi mefTrader,

If NinjaTrader is getting stuck in "Loading" please rename your database. With this procedure you will be required to recreate any ATM Strategies you may have saved at this time.

To rename the DB:

• Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
• Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB.
• Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
• Name it "OldNinjaTrader.MDB."
• Then restart the software.

Next please open a new chart with no template applied and let me know if the issue persists.

Dude I'm telling ya, TLT loads much faster with ARCA than DEFAULT.

And what about the ANALIESER?

Also dude, when you set the connection you all asks the refresh time the default is 60 Sec.

I think you forgot to suggest repairing the database before starting from scratch, nes pa?

I apologize about overlooking the refresh setting within the Yahoo connection which may be set to 0.

I have tested LTL with both Default as well as with Arca and it does seem to receive data a little quicker with Arca selected however this may not be the case for all instruments.

If you are unable to load the Market Analyzer please tell me what instruments you are attempting to load so I may attempt to reproduce on my end.

LTL is telcom. TLT is Treasuries.

No manual reload of end of day data. IE change properties for the fields to repopulate. Set to day. 5 days back. With a seperate master file that has a year, that is only loaded when "not connected"
