    Error Message When Re-Opening NT

When re-opening NT I get the following error message:

"There only can be one instance of NT running at a time. Please terminate any other instance of NT before starting a new instance. Go to Task Manager and terminate NT.exe process."

Confirmed no instance or process of NT running in Task Manager, but still get error message.

Why does this error occur and is there a fix so NT can be re-opened without having to shut down system?

    Hello,

Wait 30 seconds before you reopen NT. Windows likely thinks NT is still shutting down.

Hi Ben - Wait several minutes, put in sleep mode for several hours, still get error message and unable to re-open.

        Hello,
Restart your PC to clear everything. Then give NT a minute or two to start up before trying again. There is a period of time between double clicking the NT icon and when the splash screen shows up that nothing will seem to be happening (when you start NT). Just give it a little bit to respond to the double click.

Hello - These extra steps recommended in order to re-open NT are what I've been doing and would rather avoid. Does anyone know why NT hangs after closing and Windows (Vista) thinks NT is still running. It's quite annoying that all running programs and entire system needs to be completely shut down to simply re-open NT after closing. I would be interested to know if anyone has had this same issue and whether a fix has been found.
