    How to match/find symbol - NT vs.OpenTick

I'm new to Ninja Trader. I've opened an account with OpenTick and I've successfully connected OpenTick to Ninja Trader. I've also opened an active account at OpenTick with a licence to access relevant data.

I want to chart the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index. I've opened a chart, using Ninja Trader's symbol - DJIA. A chart has opened with daily data except that there's no data to see (whatever I do) after 29/09/06. And the data most obviously is NOT for the Dow because the chart shows a close on 29/09/06 of 66.66 whereas the Dow Jones closed at 11679.07 on that date.
I've searched OpenTick for the symbol DJIA. This doesn't appear to exist on their database. I've also tried a symbol search for the Dow Jones Industrial Average on ^DJI, $DJIA, INDU, $INDU etc etc. with no success on any of these symbols.
Just to be clear, I'm not looking for the e-mini Dow, I'm not looking for futures, I'm looking for the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index off the NYSE which closed down 185.58 points at 13,360.26 this past Friday - 22nd June, 2007.
I'm sure there's a simple answer but please can someone give me advice on what I am doing wrong or what I need to do to get myself up and running? I'm tearing my hair out................ Thank you.

      Thanks Dierk

And just to clarify one point..... I could see data before 29/09/06 on daily, weekly, monthly charts but the chart came to a stop at 29/09/06 whatever else I tried to do - like checking the data setting etc.

Please change the instrument mapping for DJIA to "$DJI|DT"
        - instrument manager
        - find DJIA
        - Edit->Misc->Mappings->OpenTick->"$DJI|DT"
        - OK

        It then should work.

          The same problem with indexes

          Hi,
I have the same problem with indexes with opentick real-time connection.
My char is empty if I trying to load $DJI|DT, $SPX|CO, $VIX|CO, $RUT|CO.
I have asked opentick technical support and they say that it is NinjaTrader defect.
Is it true? And do you have workaround for this problem?

          Thank you,
          Yuriy

            Please copy attached file to:
            - <program files>/NinjaTrader6/db
            - <my documents>/NinjaTrader6/db
            - restart NT

-> instrument mapping will be updated to latest OpenTick recommendation

Please let us know if problem persists. Thanks
