    weird ZenFire bug

    Hi,

    using 6.5......14 version

If I connect PFG (Forex) connection first, then 2nd connection Zen Fire (mirus)... any futures symbol I pull up on my chart will only show 3 days of historical data... even if I specify 10 or 20 days

If I connect mirus first, then PFG second... or if I connect only mirus... then I can pull up all the historical data

just bringing this strange bug to your attention

    both connections are demo

    Hello NinjaCustomer,

Could it be the PFG demo connection you are using will only provide 3 days of historical data?

Do you have historical data enabled in the PFG connection wizard?

What happens if you connect to PFG solely. Do you still display only 3 days of historical data while you request more.

ah, you are saying the PFG demo also provides futures data? I didn't think about that.. probably that's the explanation

        Hello NinjaCustomer,

        Thank you for your reply.

Yes, PFG does offer data for futures instruments as well.

Also, I receive the same results on my end when testing with a similar setup. For your purposes, it sounds like you will want to connect to Zen-Fire and then to PFG to avoid this limitation.

Another problem with PFG and zenfire feed is the uneven price at which I get a fill

Please have a look at attached screenshot, everytime I make a trade either with limit order or market order I get filled at an uneven price.

Is there a way to open and close (with sim and live PFG accounts) a forex postion at an even price so I get for example 10.000 units of EURUSD at price 1.3100 and NOT 9.999 units at 1.3101 and 1 at 1.3100?

            tradereight,

For orders in the Sim101 account, you can minimize partial fills by setting the simulation account to enforce immediate fills:
            • From the Control Center, click Tools then select Options.
            • In the Options menu, navigate to the Simulator tab.
            • In the Simulator tab of the Options menu, ensure that 'Enforce Immediate Fills' is checked, then click OK.

Fills of orders in an external account are not controlled by NinjaTrader. If this is an issue in your PFG account, you'd want to speak with PFG for recommendations on reducing the frequency at which partial fills occur.
