I am trying to place a simple bracket order, one that i used to place all the time but has suddenly stopped working.

I am trying to place multiple stop order to enter the market, but when i try to place the second order i am told that i cant place an exit order until my first order is filled.

    Hi doug.ragan,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you please provide the exact error, and the steps you did to produce it?

I set the DOM to OCO. I placed a buy stop above the market, and when I try to place a sell stop below the market i get "You can't submit and exit order to a strategy until any of its entry orders has been filled"

        Hi doug.ragan,

        Thank you for your note.

Do you have an ATM Strategy selected? You will need to re-select the ATM strategy between the orders.

Please see the following for step by step instructions.

One of the great features of NinjaTrader is its ability to submit two entry orders, one which will cancel if the other is filled.

You can accomplish a breakout/breakdown approach by:

Right click in the SuperDOM and select the menu "OCO Order" to enable this function
For your first order, select the desired option from the "ATM Strategy" drop down list
Submit your stop order to buy above the market
For your second order, select the desired option from the "ATM Strategy" drop down list
Submit your stop order to sell below the market
CRITICAL Right click in the SuperDOM and select the menu "OCO Order" to disable this function
For a market fade approach just subsitute limit orders for stop orders. This entry technique is demonstrated in our free ATM Level I training class that we hold several times per week.

This is not how i have done this in the past.

I NT planning on making it possible to set up OCO orders without 700 steps that take a month of planning anytime in the future?

            Hi doug.ragan,

You can decrease the number of steps by selecting "KeepSelectedAtmStrategyTemplateOnOrder" in the Atm Strategy selection mode settings (Right click>Properties)
