commish settings

hi....can't get the comm. part of account performance to work.....
used the help and search and put the amounts into the settings and it still won't plot it.
I know it must be sumpin easy, but I'm out of ideas.

Please see the link below on how to setup commissions in NinjaTrader.

A minimum commission will apply commissions per side per order.

A commission level will apply commissions per side per contract.

Subsequently, go to Tools-->Options-->General-tab and check 'Apply commission to PnL calculations', so it will be included in the PnL of the order entry window as well.

Note that commission will be calculated for trades you perform after you setup commissions.

still unable to get it to work.
also unable to plot data in daily format. played around with all the settings, but still no good. have been able to manipulate in minute and tick format ( which is all I really need ) but it would be nice to see a daily chart once in a while.
I really like the software, maybe i need to re-download.

i'm logged on to mirus , it's no big deal , just wanted all the features to work.

Please note that Zen-Fire does not support historical daily data as per the link below.

It is as expected that you are unable to load daily charts; you would need to connect to a supported data feed provider that supports historical daily data.

What commissions did you setup so far?

i'm trying to put the real comm. figure in the box along w/all fees (avg per contract). it's easy enough to do it in my head , but would be nice to plot for PnL.
I've tried to do it as per the instructions but it still won't plot it.
I also had an error come up that froze my machine.....
stated that " bollinger could not be sequenced"
I acknowledged the pop up and the pop up under it told me to notify support w/ problem. when I pressed the "ok" button it rejected it.
had to unplug and reboot. hasn't returned.
back to the comm setting.....got any ideas?

also had a problem w/ performance report, stated I had 8 losing short trades when I had only 1. the dollar amount in the gross loss was correct, just not the total # of losing trades.

Could you please tell me how exactly you setup commissions; did you setup a minimum commission, a commission level or perhaps both?

As per the 8 trades, could it be the order was filled in 8 partial executions?

I tried both, and the box is checked off in the "options" section.
and yes the skew on the short orders was from a partial fill.

Can you please tell me the exact settings of how you setup commissions. Also, please tell me where exactly in the software you setup commissions.

Unfortunately partial executions will be reported as separate trades in the Account Performance-->Trades-tab.

tools...> options..>commissons..>future sim...>min is set at 5$ and comm level is set at 5/1.
also the box is checked for appllying comm for PnL in the general sectionof options.

Can you please remove the commission level of 5/1.

Connect to the Simulated Data Feed and submit a test trade for a futures instrument.

Subsequently generate a performance report and check if commission is reflected for this trade.

If you trade while connected to Zen-Fire, please setup commissions for 'Futures - Zen-Fire'.

that fixed it........I'm connected to zen-fire.
you should put this note in the instructions for setting comm.
"make sure you choose the right connection for setting these values"
I just assumed that because I was in sim mode, I would choose that in the menu box.
