eSignal Continuous Contract Symbol Charts

This thread has answered a question that has been frustrating me,

BUT

I can get continuous from eSignal for e mini's but for FTSE future the same trick with 'Z ##-##' does not work ?? Any ideas ?

Of course can provided eSignal emits realtime data fro their continuous contracts and NT supports the particular eSignal continuous contract symbol.

Dierk and NT, a couple of basic questions. Per above how come you can't use a live chart with continuous Esignal, did I get that right? You guys have really improved charts, congrats. My buddy wants to use them. I heard you can use them for free NT charts, with out an account? Is that true? He was thinking of NT with an Esignal feed, and then maybe a full NT broker accnt with Esignal historical feed.

useful to know since that avoids having to import historical data into NT from e-signal which is a pain.

Backtesting is fine, live trading not.

Add "YM ##-##" in the instrument manager. This will then retrieve the YM #F symbol from eSignal.

NOTE: You can NOT trade this symbol through any live brokerage since its a synthetic contract and not the actual one.

How can I chart, for example, YM #F instead of the Sep contract, using eSignal data feed.
