MBTrading ES Symbol Map

Guys,

I have connected to MB Trading. I called the MB folks and they said the ES mini symbol is ES/. I used this in the instrument mgr. but it would not work. Can anyone give me an idea.

MB Trading Mapping

I did as the video said. Not working. I went to the misc. tab and put in ES/. This was per MB Trading instructions. Still did not work. I am connected to MB Trading. I still can't get and ES data. I called MB Trading and they said I should be getting the data stream as I was signed up for it.

Anyother suggestions?

Hi, I am having the same issue as this with other instruments (I am also using MBT). I cannot get any ticks for YG, ZB, 6J, and many other instruments. Strangely, instruments on the same exchanges will work (6E is working, for example).

First, ensure you have all the contract rolled over if necessary.


Please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.
• From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
• Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
• Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
• Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date

If the issue persists, do you see any errors in the Log tab of the Control Center?

Tim, all of my contracts are rolled over, I have tried YG 4-10 and 6-10, for example, and both do not work.

I see a few errors on my log. They are 'unknown account' errors. From just looking at the logs, it seems that every so often (once or twice a day) one of these errors occurs, and then NT reconnects to the server. Otherwise, there are no notable errors that I can see.

The YG, ZB and 6J do not have symbol mapping entered by default for MBTrading in the Instrument Manager.

Please enter the correct symbol mapping for these instruments and check if you receive data in NinjaTrader. Unfortunately I am not sure what symbol mapping MBTrading will use for these instructions. Please verify what symbol mapping needs to be used in third party software, such as NinjaTrader. When I check instruments that do have symbol mapping entered for MBTrading, it is listed as follows: ES-->ES, YM-->YM. So I suggest to try YG, ZB and 6J and check if you receive data.

The error you mention seems to be a disconnection you experienced.

I have tried the ES in the instrument manager. Still not working. I called MBTRading and they said to use ES/. I did and it does not work. They assured me that I was signed up to recieve futures data. I am getting a connection because I have a green highlight below in the menu.

Any other suggestions.

MB Trading ES Symbol

Tim,

I just got off the phone with MB Trading - Josh. I went into Ninjatrader file and new. I brought up a MBNavigator and got tick data for "/ESM0". Josh said they use CME data feed. I went into Ninja and changed the symbol map on MB Trading to "/ES". I could not get the charts to update.
