how to make profit, stop loss, strategy on chart trading?

ok, it works almost as expected.

There is a little adjustment to be made, not sure where the setting is.

let me make an example, its easier to explain.

Long : when the Target 2 is hit at Ask, but not filled, the Stop Loss is not moved. However I want to have the stop loss Move to -15 of Target 2.
Let's say B: A 10.01: 10.02 my target 2 is 10.02 as a Long position.
The Stop loss is 9.87, so in order to move the Sop Loss to 9.88, the B:A must be 10.02:10.03
So is there a way to use Ask as a trigger price, rather the lower price for Long position.
For short position, use Bid(the higher price) as a trigger price for moving stop loss moving trigger.

This is unfortunately, not possible because the modifications made to your stop loss and profit target will move based on the last traded price rather than the ask or bid.

Just a thought, but with NinjaTrader 7 you can chart bid and ask prices so it may be possible to create a chart for ask prices for long orders and then submit an ATM strategy on that chart using Chart Trader.

This may work as a possible work around for the fact that you can not do this from within the ATM strategy.

If it works you could have a bid chart for short orders.

ok, i will try and see what happens.

However on your previous note, it acts on last traded, so i dont think the chart would change anything.

Also after very careful micro inspection, it seems it will move Long stop when the Bid is at that stop trigger price. And Short stop move triggers on Ask price. However it could be since the price already moved to that level, its already guaranteed a fill at that price, so its moved anyway.

not very sure the exact timing of the ATM algorithm, so that's my observation.

To be honest, I am not sure if the bid/ask charts will make a difference since NinjaTrader ATM strategies are set to use Last Price within the DOM.

It was a suggestion that it might function in that based on the data that was being charted if you chose to use Chart Trader.

The stop strategy will begin the order change process when a tick is received at the profit trigger, and then be moved even if the order comes back down/up. So this might explain what you are seeing.

Target chase is when your target is hit but not filled. If the market goes down after touching the target that order will follow the market until you are exited from the trade. More info can be found below:

New Strategy

Im making another different strategy.

Im trying to move the SL to -4 when profit = + 2, this part is ok.
then when profit = + 6, move SL to entry(but in the Auto trail, it only takes +1 or higher, so I put in 1). However when Profit trigger hit 6, the Stop Loss moved to +4 + 1 = +5, so it will stopped almost very soon.

My setting is
Profit trigger : 2 Plus -4;
Step 1 : 1, 1, 6

Any idea how it goes wrong?
