    Moving average 100 ,50,200

    new user to ninja trader and i would like to know how to make a Moving average 100 days ( 50 days and 200 days)
    do you use EMA and set period to 100 ??

    Hi herre,

    Thank you for your post, and welcome to the forum.

    You can apply either a SMA or EMA indictor by right clicking on the chart and then selecting Indicators. In the available list in the top left choose either SMA or EMA and then hit New to add to a chart. The Period will be the number of days that the moving average represents. Also, you can add mulitiple moving averages to a chart by repeating these steps and inputting a seperate interval. Please see the following link for more information.

      Sma 100

      thank you ryan but i really didnt make it with the movingaverage 100 day

      i in the indicator SMA properties i set the period to 100 but the curve in the chart dont look like other SMA 100 & 50 indicators like the one from yahoo

      i get closer if i use a period of 5 and 10 but its not the same

        Hello,

        Are you using Yahoo data in NT? If not, (and possibly even if you do) the MAs will look different.

          NT and yahoo

          yes im using NT and yahoo data , how däo i get the MA 100 in NT with yahoo data.
          it doesnt come out as in the yahoo website

            Hi,

            Can you please right click on the chart and then select properties and set the Show Unstable Indicators property to true. Then within the Indicators menu please set the calculate on Bar Close to True.
