    Regression Channel indicator enhancement suggestion

On a charting package I used to access, their regression channel would move as a chart was moved back in time. This was very useful in that the strategy I'm working on makes use of the regression channel indicator and being able to see the correct regression channel at the time in history of a trade entry/exit is very valuable.

If I could put that on the enhancement list I'd appreciate it.

Also, just to verify. Developing a strategy using regression channel values in the past will work (in other words, I'll get correct values even though visually I won't see the channels?)

Thanks for suggestion and yes, it will work in the past.

talking about regression channels I noticed that on your indicators you have this option displacement that will move the indicator forwards or backward in the chart , I am trying to displace a SMA line forward 1 time but the displaced part is not visible in the chart... is there a way to do that??

      thanks

The entire indicator is displaced forward by one bar but the current bar value (non-displaced) will NOT be shown or accessed since it theoretically belongs to a future bar.

          Hi Support,

thanks for your answer,,, now I know exactly what I need... I need the linear regression to predict the next bar... displacing it is not what I am looking for although that is what I thought I needed. What i need is the linear regression to tell me the probable future value of the next bar. Is there a way to do that without me having to reprogram the indicator?

          Thanks

You mean linear regression as a drawing tool? Will be supported by fall time frame.

well not really, but as an indicator in which I can use to show me the possible future value ... one of your competitors have that feature... for example I plot the linear regression indicator I see the line... but then I can setup the indicator to calculate or predict the value of the next bar which has not happened yet ..

              get my point?

              thanks

I see. We'll add this to our list.
