    Internal Error in Simulator

Today I am getting an error message in the simulator and NT shuts down. The cash balance comes up way out of wack with a large negative number. I am using version 4.037. What should I do to fix this. Thanks.

      Hi Ray,

I did that and restarted NT, went to enter an order in the Sim and I get the message Order Exceeded Buying Power. Then I get the Internal Error Message and it shuts down again. Help.

        Hi Bob,

Tools-->Settings Manager, Simulator Tab, Set the "Starting Cash Value" to a new value and press the "RESET" button.

          Hi Vincent,

I did that also. There is an error somewhere that is changing the cash value in the Sim account. When I enter the order the Sim cash account changes from 15,000 to- 495,800. Then it shuts down. Thanks.

Check the value of your simulator margin for the instrument you are trading. Please set it to a value in line with what margin rates you receive from your broker.

I checked the margin and it was OK. Still getting the same message. Any other ideas. Thanks.

Restart NT, then tell me what the account value of the SIM-101 account is in the Account Tab of the control center window.

                  Ray,

The account cash value is 50,000. The buying power is also 50,000.

Did you reset the account value to 50,000 by chance after deleting the file?

Ok, so now place a sim order for 1 contract and tell me what the sim account value is?

For the contract that you traded, what is the Simulator Margin value in the Instrument Manager?
