NYSE $TICK alongside ES on the same chart?

Is there a way to display ES and NYSE $TICK on the same chart?

    Hello emini.ninja,

Thank you for your post, and welcome the forum.

Presently with NinjaTrader 6.5 you can not overlay instruments, but this will possible with NinjaTrader 7. More details about NinjaTrader are available at the following link.

Will users be able to have other market internals like NYSE Advance, Decline, Upvolume and Downvolume & etc as well?

          Hello ninja99,

Such instruments are supported in NinjaTrader already. Make sure you are connected to a supported data feed provider that supports index data. You can find a matrix of all supported data feed providers at the link below.

                Hi,

The ES is already listed by default in the Instrument Manager under the Tools menu. It should also be listed in the Default Instrument List so it should be selectable in the instrument section of the SuperDOM, Control Center's Orders Tab and Charts.

The current front month is June so the instrument would look like ES 06-10.

Vincent thanks for the reply, at some point when tinkering in the instrument manager i must have removed the ES from the default. This is probably why I am having trouble re adding it, I cant figure it out.

                    Hi subrock,

To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Misc tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

                      Greetings,
Pardon my ignorance and correct me if I'm wrong, what I'm reading is that because I'm using Zen-Fire as my data feed (Futures only) I cant use $TICK, is this correct?

                      David

                      Go easy on the newby

                        Hi ES Larrikin,

Correct, with Zen-Fire the TICK index is not available.

                          Where is the ^TICK?

Edit: So I disconnected from zen-fire (my data provider) and clicked reset on my Sim101 account, under options. Which one of these fixed the problem? I can see the TICK in the list now. Why was it gone before? Very strange problem, but it seem to be fixed for now. But I would like to know what caused it in case it happens in the future.

I am using NinjaTrader 7 Beta 17 and I can't find the NYSE-TICK instrument in the instrument manager. Did you guys leave it out? I only see Type FUTURES in the lists of the default instrument list.

I also can't add it by clicking NEW, I click new, fill in the appropriate fields like Master Instrument name, instrument type, tick size, currency, and in the Misc Tab I create the symbol names for my corresponding broker. However upon completing the fields and pressing OK, nothing appears in the list.

Is the tick removed in the NT7 beta? I would really like to have a tick chart below my ES charts.
