    Hi'
I got the following error message . How do I know which referenced file it is?

    Hello Kelvin Johnson,

    Thank you for your post.

The indicator you try to remove is referenced in another NinjaScript indicator/strategy. This reference needs to be removed first before you will be able to remove the desired indicator. Unfortunately I am not sure what indicator/strategy is referencing the NinjaScript file you like to remove either.

I suggest to contact the third party vendor to check what other file could be referencing the file you like to remove.

In addition, you can perform the workaround below as well.

Note that you will lose all custom and third party NinjaScript files.
Create a backup file with 'NinjaScript files' unchecked(!).
    http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...upArchive.html

Uninstall NinjaTrader via the Windows Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs (XP), Programs and Features (Vista).

Delete the My Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5 folder. Do NOT delete the NinjaTrader backup folder(!).

Clear your browser cache and download and install NinjaTrader 6.5 at the link below.
    http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/download_download.htm

Restore your settings and you should be able to import the new NinjaScript files.

      Hi Chris
Thanks for your help. I've got everything back to normal. By the way, how could I prevent such thing happens again in the future? Which folder holds all indicators and strategies? May I just backup this folder and restore the folder as and when something happens again?
      Regards

        Hi,

Yes, you can create a Backup of your NinjaScript files by going to File-->Utilities-->Backup and select the items you would like included.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
