    NT 6.5 Failed to compact DB

    Hi guys,

    I know, this issue was discussed already, but I can't solve it...
    I got an error message when I try to Repair my database (see the attachment).

    I have already deleted NinjaTrader 6.5 (vers. 15). Deleted the registry entries and reinstalled it. After this procedure I tried to repair the DB once more - with no luck. Same error message. Renamed the fresh NinjaTrader.mdb. No luck. There are no workspaces, templates, charts etc. right now. Only a fresh installed NinjaTrader. And I've got no NT7 on this PC.

    And yes, I'm using Windows7, 64bit. But a friend of mine is using this OS also. He has absolutely the same setup but NO problems to repair his DB.

    Any help would be very appreciated.

    Thank you for your post.

    Please use the steps I have provided below to move your database files to another location on your PC.
    • Close NinjaTrader
    • Documents
    • NinjaTrader 6.5
    • db folder
    • Select all .mdb file such as NinjaTrader, OldNinjaTrader, etc.
    • Move these files to another location on your PC for example the Desktop
    • Restart NinjaTrader

    Please let me know if the issue persists after this procedure.

      Hi CristopherJ,

      thank you for the quick reply. I moved all the *.mdb files to another folder. Started NT again. Of course a new "NinjaTrader.mdb" was created.
      The I tried to repair the new DB - without luck. Just the same error message... And now?

        Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Chris" in the subject line.

        In the message, please include the following:
        1.) A link to this forum thread.
        2.) Your most current trace and log files.

        You will find the file here: My Documents > NinjaTrader 6.5 > Trace > trace.YYYYMMDD.txt

        Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 6.5->Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt
