    ESignal Globex data

    Hello,

    Esignal now offer the a waiver for CME Globex data, however in order to use that there is a need to add the "=1" suffix to a symbol e.g. CL M0=1 for the oil June contract. If you try to download data using CL M0 it returns an error.

    Is there a way to configure this "=1" in NT 6.5? If not is there a way to do it in NT7? If not, would it be possible to add it in NT7?

    Can you setup symbol mapping in the Misc-tab of instruments in the Instrument Manager.

    Go to Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the CL in the Available Master Instruments section and click Edit. Select the Misc-tab.
    It is not needed to enter the expiry in the symbol mapping, so I would try CL=1.

    If this does not work for you, I suggest to contact eSignal and check if such data is supported in 3rd party software such as NinjaTrader.

      thanks for the reply. I have checked your suggestion and it still does not work. I have checked with Esignal and they confirmed that the data is available to 3rd party tools.

      The thing is that the pricing for this data is very advantageous compared to paying for evry single market i the CME group.

      Would it be possible to include this in NT7? It looks quite simple and for other data providers (e.g. IB) NT7 already allows to send some additional parameters. The only thing that will be needed would be an =1 to the data request (e.g. CL M0=1).

        Did you try it in NinjaTrader 6.5 or 7 or both?

                Vincent? Do you know if this was solved? I'd too have eSignal data and have been trying to get NT6.5 to retrieve the CL M0=1 symbol... Thanks!

                        Wow... I know a few companies that have really good knowledge base software. I'd be happy to pass along a few links if it might help, I own a software company and we've found knowledge base applications to be quite valuable when it comes to customer support. I lieu of a KB db, I hope Jason makes it back to work safe and sound... :-)

                              I received this reply today from one of your support staff.

                              "Yes, unfortunately the waived bundle is not supported at this time."

                              I have the same issue as "dmeunier". I can't get CL, GC, SI or NG either.
