    Hello,

    Thank you for your first forum post.

    Is this the first time installing NinjaTrader or is this a second time or have you been running NinjaTrader?

      First installation 2008. On December 2009 new HD. Installation Ninja Trader 8.4.2010 - OK.Deleting of an old Windows system from former disk E. Ninja Trader - error.

        In the case please follow the instructions to rename the NinjaTrader database. This will force NinjaTrader to create a new database.

        This process will delete your saved ATM Strategies, Trade History and saved historical data.
        Can you please rename the NinjaTrader database. To rename the DB:
        • Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
        • Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> DB--> NinjaTrader.MDB.
        • Right click on NinjaTrader.MDB and select "Rename."
        • Name it "NewNinjaTrader.MDB."
        • Then restart the software.


        Let me know if this does the trick for you.

            After rename and new initiation created again file NinjaTrader.

              I am sorry, is your issue resolved? The db file will be created automatically if you delete it.

                  If you have created a new database then this indicates you may have an incorrect version of the Jet Database Engine or MDAC installed. Please go to the following pages for the correct versions. Download them on top of your existing versions.
                  You can install from here:
                  MS Jet Database Engine:

                  MDAC:
                  <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en>
                  Then uninstall NinjaTrader via the windows control panel under add/remove programs. Note, you will lose all saved settings and data. After this delete the folder
                  NinjaTrader 6.5 from Start menu--> My Documents.
                  Now reboot your machine and download our latest production release from here:

                      In this case some users have had success with the following link:



                      Alternately if this is something that just started happening please try a system restore back to a date where you were not having the issue. System Restore is located under Start->All Programs->Accessories-System Tools, as there has been a change or update on your PC that has corrupted MDAC on your computer.
