Interesting
Hi Inventor1949
Better, but the color doesn't change with the gradient. Frustratingly close though.
I can't believe that in the whole of the NT community there isn't one person that knows the answer to this - even if it's that it can't be done.

as you are looking for advice:
I would do this by overriding WndProc .
Problems could arrise because NT7 's own code might do so as well, so one must find the right spot in the ChartControl creation sequence where to override.
Best regards
Andreas

Maybe you could demonstrate?

Sorry Mindset,
christmas is coming and I really couldn't care less about a gradient color background.
Do a search on google, C#, WndProc , BackGroundFill etc. and you will eventually find the bits and pieces to implement your thing.
Look, I am a trader with a background in research in physics. That is why I am quite proficient in NinjaScript now. Unfortunately (?) I am always full of ideas about new trading strategies etc. that sometimes I get too much into this software thing, especially in dull rainy winter time on monday evenings. Believe it or not, the best in writing all these strategies is that by spending that time I just have all the rules in my head. With the rules in my head I can also enter and exit trades manually. Actually the best trades are usually manual trades, maybe because that leaves space for intuition?
With all the snow disaster going on in UK, isn't it a good moment to look into the WndProc thing?
best regards
Andreas

Seasons Greetings
Well I thank you for your honesty! And you are right Gradient coloring is not high on my list of
essential things to do - it's just irritating that it's 99% ok. I like it 100%.
I, too, can get a bit too much into the coding and forget that actually it's trading what makes the money.
I try and do the coding between trades and have found NS very difficult to learn as there is soooooooo much that isn't supported. I rely on other expert coders to sometimes shine the light.
Anyway seasons greetings and it is nice to forget trading for 4 days and come back refreshed after the break.

Hi.
I've come across this thread while looking for gradient background setting.
Thank you for sharing the indicator below. It is great.
One question to whoever know the answer..
When I change the width of the chart smaller, this new line with gradient appears from the bottom.
Is there a way to fix this??
thank you in advance.
Ryan
