Strategy detached after trade Execution

Hi All,

I am having this problem when I have 2 charts open using simulated data feed.

1 chart holds the strategy, the other one is using the chart trader for order execution.

Whenever I execute trades on the later chart, the startegy is no longer attached on the other chart....

Is this normal? I know you cannot use strategy and chart trader on 1 single chart but separate charts should be possible I would say..

Hi,

Try right clicking in chart trader--> Properties--> ATM strategy selection mode--> Display selected ATM strategy only'. Do this for both chart traders before you submit your order(s).

Changed the setting on both charts, problem persists unfortunately...

Any other suggestions?

Hi Kyle,

Order Execution is ATM yes based on a strategy that is running.

I have attached a picture on how it looks on my end. Top chart holds the strategy which is only a paint bar study at this point.

Also some indicators that I am trying to incorporate into the strategy.

Chart below is a basic chart with nothing on it, only the chart trader to execute the trades

I executed multiple trades with the settings suggested by Vincent but it keeps trowing off the startegy attached to the first chart...

Hi,

Thank you for the screenshot, as that clarified the issue.

You will want to disable the plotting of executions on the charts that are viewing the same instrument as your strategy. Thereafter, your charts will not show those entries and exits.

Please follow the instructions below to disable the plotting of trade executions.

• Right click in your chart and select the menu "Properties"
• Find the "Plot executions" parameter and change the value to "DoNotPlot"
• Press the "OK" button

That seems to do the trick yes. I have switched on that option on both charts and it seems to work now.
