    Gain FX symbols

    Hi, can somebody help me to figure out how do i enter FX symbols for GainFX connection? I used this before but it seems my mind is blocked.

    Hi,

    Not sure if I can follow. Do you want to add new currencies to the instrument manager or do you want to move currencies to your default instrument list?

      I need to add it to instrument list, eventually i want to get it on my chart

        Hi,

        Open up the Instrument Manager under the Tools menu. Then locate the currency in the middle section and highlight it. After this hit the '<' button to add it to the default instrument list. When all instruments are moved click OK and open up a Chart. The currency should now be available to select.

          Ahh, got it. Just there is only one bar ticking, how do i get the history?

            GAIN only provides 24 hours of historical data. If you want to receive historical data you need to change your account connection set up. Check 'Use NinjaTrader servers' for historical data.

            If you want to create a daily chart, select a 1440 Minutes chart.

              It is checked, and 24 hour is fine, but im not getting any of it. Onlly one bar is active no matter what TF i set. Any ideas?

                For what currencies is this? We have stored data on our servers, however not for all currencies. It could be we didn't record data for the one you're selecting. In that case you would need to have a FX provider who provides historical data for this currency.
