market replay data when restarting NT

when I restart NT during middle of the day, does the market replay start recording when NT comes back up? . would it still be ONE market replay data for that date when it is broken in between?
Also does replay for a day from 12am to 12am? to complete a day

Market replay will resume recording for that same day as long as that option is checked under Tools > Options > Data (Run Market Replay Recorder).

Yes, a day is considered from 12 AM to 12AM.

for NT7, when you say server side, how can we still access the replay file, as I like to use that replay file in another PC (which didnt record)

Also, if I record 5min, can we access a 2min or 15min chart while playing it? would it construct from the 5min. same question for 4 Range recording, can we run 6 or 2 range while replay

In NinjaTrader 7, you may download replay data from our servers via the File > Utilities > Download Replay Data menu when connected. Since connection to this server would be available on your other PC as well, you could simply download a second copy.

When recording data, you are recording the base interval (eg: when recording from a 5 minute chart, 1 minute data is used). Thus, replay of 1 minute data would be possible when recording 5 minute data.

Unfortunately the market replay files from 7 are not compatible with version 6.5.

That's fine. I downloaded 4/1 and 4/26 GC data from NT 7, but it runs from 7.30am CST to 12.30pm CST. Isn't the data supposed to be from 12am to 12am so we can backtest for overnight data?

You can change the session template used by Right Clicking > Data Series.

You may want to change session template from "Use Instrument Settings" to Default 24 / 7.
