    when changing the limit price on chart order, it wont last for a couple seconds...

    when changing the limit price on chart order, it wont last for a couple seconds...

    what i meant is after I left clicked it, it used to be stayed in modify mode so I can move that sticker as long as I wanted before I click again to change it.

    Now it only stays in that mode for a very brief time frame, sometimes few seconds, sometimes 1-2 seconds, then it goes back to where it used to be.

    Thank you for your post.

    I have tested this on my end and my order remains in modify mode until I left click again.

    Can you please tell me what version of NinjaTrader you currently have installed which can be found under Help-->About.

    Also please close all your open workspaces by going to the Control Panel-->File-->Workspaces-->Close Workspace

    After you have closed all workspaces please create a new workspace by going to the Control Center-->File-->Workspaces-->New Workspace

    Within the new workspace please open a new chart with no template or indicators applied and let me know if the issue persists.

      Yup, it used to be working, now its now.

      6.5.10000.15

      i cant close the default workspace.

        I just tried with new workspace and chart without everything just price.

        Problem still exists.

          Please follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader. With this procedure you will not lose any Workspaces, Charts, etc.
          • Close all running applications.
          • Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.
          • From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 6.5 and click Remove.
          • Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).
          • Reboot your machine.
          • Once these steps are completed, download NT6.5 from the link below:

          Please let me know if this procedure resolves the issue you are experiencing.

            When I tried to backup, and found out it hung when backing up Chart data, Log are chosen, and i have to force close it.
            In this back up process, sometimes it will popup a message :"ninjatrader will have to close due to error.' something like that, and have me send email via help mail.

            After a restart I backup without these 2 choices, it went smoothly.

                uninstall, reinstal, repaired DB as suggested.

                No luck on fixing it.

                Any other solutions? It just happens today. Yesterday is ok...

                Didn't install anything, and last windows update is @ Apr 29, 2010

                          i also sent the log as well per instruction.

                          Is there a way to do a clean uninstall, and restore using a backup.
                          Or simply do a clean install on another directory. The last reinstall seems to be able to pick up everything without me doing anything.

                            MoreYummy, for a complete clean install, you would need to manually delete the MyDocuments > NinjaTrader 65 / 7 folder as well, as your custom files would be stored there, hence they are picked up on reinstall of the core software as well.

                              so is there other way to solve this issue?

                              from the coding perspective, what would caused the modification to be dropped? it used to let me hold on and move it around, now it just goes back to normal after left click it. very weird.
