Not getting correct values in Market Analyzer.

New to using market analyzer and just does not seem to work in NT7. I tried with a moving average, works fine. When I try with DoubleStochastics, ninja indicator, it makes no sense. It works fine in 6.5.

I create a chart with 6E 15 minute and place a doublestochastic indicator. I then create a new market analyzer, add 6e. Add column as indicator, select 15 minute and select DoubleStochastic as a function. The value shown in Market Analyzer does not make any sense.

    What is going on here.

    Hi Cryptorchid,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you give me an idea of what type of strange values you are seeing?

What strange values I am seeing.

Watching for 30 minutes on the chart I see DoubleStochastics go from 36 to 78 and in market analyzer it says 3.46 the entire time. In fact I look at it right now and it still says 3.46 and the chart says 98.85.

        Hello Cryptorchid,

        Thank you for the clarification.

I am seeing the same behavior on my end and will follow up with my development team.

        Thank you for reporting this!

          Hello Cryptorchid,

In order for DoubleStochastics to present the same K value in the chart and market analyzer, the following settings will need to match in both windows:
          • Bars Back
          • CalculateOnBarClose = False (by default, this is set to True in the chart)
          • Session Template

          In the Chart:
Bars back will be set in the Data Series window under the Data heading.
Calculate on Bar Close = False will need to be enabled in the Indicators menu.

          In the Market Analyzer:
Bars back will be set in the Properties menu.
Calculate on Bar Close = False will not need to be set as it is the default in this window.

Session template should match so long as you have not made any changes in the chart or market analyzer.

            Still not working for me...

I definitely have the barsback and calconbarclose set the same.

Not sure if the session template is the same or not. When I load the instrument into the chart, the one session related thing I do is switch to use "Default 24/7" because when I used the default session template it stopped posting data at noon pacific time.

Is there some way I can manage the template for 6E so that it collects data 24/7. Or is there someway to get Market Analyzer to use Default 24/7.
I am still seeing 3.46 in market analyzer but I suspect it is because the normal session is closed. But I do not think it moved during the session.

            Did you see it work?

              Hello CryptOrchid,

You can set the session template in the Market Analyzer in its properties menu (right click Market Analyzer).

I suggest to select the 'Default 24/7' session template in the Market Analyzer as well and check if values resemble.

I am getting these same problems each time I play back data from a previous day. I get lost trying to sync all of these same settings just using cci14 and nt7 crashes when i try to change the chart data to bars back

I am using range bars which are both the same value for the chart and market analyzer and close is set to false as well. I think the session thing is giving me fits.

sorry to hijack, but i just noticed the cci values change when i switch sessions between <use instrument settings> and CME Index Futures ETH when looking at the ES.

which is correct? seems this is my market analyzer problem.

                      subrock,

Either session template is correct - the key here is to use the same session template in both the chart and the market analyzer.
