1. Is there a symbol for continuous NQ contract?

2. Is there an easy way to merge a new contract with an old contract for instance when the June NQ expires?

3. I have Zen-Fire right now, but I need the TICK indicator, and I need Intraday Stock data. Is there a way to get this info for free or very little?

4. Is there a symbol for the NQ cash index?

Thank you for your post.

1. For continuous contracts you would use an expiry of ##-## rather than a pre-defined contract front month.

2. You can merge data by going to Tools-->Historical Data-->Merge. Please see the following link.

3. You can get intraday stock data from a data only provider, and as far as I know the only type of data you can get for free is End of Day historical data, from the likes of Yahoo. 4. The symbol I believe you are looking for would be the NDX for the Nasdaq 100.

I tried NQ ##-##, but I get nothing. Just a blank chart.

That's because Zen-Fire does not offer a continuous contract. You will want to use the merge instructions from question 2.

Then in your current front month chart you will see data going back to earlier front months.
