NT 7 beta 17

    NT 7 beta 17

    I tried updating to beta 17 and thought I was running beta 16. I was running beta 15. I did not execute the needed steps and now am unable to load beta 17. I get the following message: Error 1001. Could not load file or assembly 'sorttbls.nlp' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified-->Failure has occurred while loading a type.

    Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with 'ATTN: Kyle' in the subject line.

    In your message, please include the following:
    1.) A link to this forum thread.

    2.) Your most current trace file.
    You will find the trace file in the My Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
    The trace file will be named 'trace.20100611.txt'.

      NT beta 17

      I do not see a trace file in the location you specified...there is no file for ninjatrader in my documents

        Hello Merc1x,

        I'm not sure if you're receiving my replies to your messages.


        This would be a sub-folder in the My Documents folder named 'NinjaTrader 7'.




        If you do not see this file, can you provide me with an image of your My Documents folder?

        To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

              I don't remember deleting it...I also did a search on my c drive and did not find any trace .txt files ... I have 6.5 loaded on another computer and it does have a file within my docements...ninja 6.5\trace ... is there a way to start over, delete all ninjatrader and reload 7?

                NT,

                Just upgraded from beta 15 to beta 17.

                The video was a big help!!!

                Everything went smoothly except when trying to delete programs - NinjaTrader 7 folder.

                kept getting error subfolder bin is being accessed cannot be deleted.

                finally skipped over this step and completed install.

                Everything seems to be working.

                  Hi Merc1x,

                  Please follow the steps listed below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader:
                  1. Close all running applications.
                  2. Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.
                  3. From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7and click Remove.
                  4. Then manually delete the folder "NinjaTrader 7" located under Start --> My Documents.
                  5. Delete any NinjaTrader installation files. This can be done by going to Start --> My Computer --> Search button --> search for (NinjaTrader*) --> select Local C Disk and then press search.
                  6. Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).
                  7. Reboot your machine.
                  8. Once these steps are completed, download NT7 from the link below:

                  Please let us know if you are able to get up and running after the reinstall.

                    NT beta 17

                    nope... went into add or remove programs, clicked on NT 7 then remove and got this attached message...which is the same message I got when trying to LOAD NT 7 beta 17 4 hours ago.

                          Please double click on the folder highlighted in the attached image.
                          Next, open the trace folder - please send me trace.20100611.txt from this folder.

                            NT 7 beta 17

                            here is the contents of that folder ... no trace folder exists and when I try to access any of those files the follow attached jpeg happens...

                              Hello Merc1x,

                              This message indicates that the NinjaTrader uninstaller file is missing. In most cases, this will occur if a you are running a clean-up program that deletes temp files or if the you deleted the temp files manually.

                              To resolve this issue, run the Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp utility listed below. Once the utility is running, select NinjaTrader from the list and select Remove. It will then be possible to reinstall NinjaTrader successfully.
